Attire is holiday themed – bells, elves, ugly sweaters, silly sweaters – have some fun with it.

Celebrate Bastille Day at L’Apero les Trois

By Elizabeth Smith

Celebrate Bastille Day at L’Apero les Trois
Friday, July 14, 2023, 6 pm to 7pm
Since L’Apero les Trois draws its inspiration from the French style of food and drink, giving it a California twist, it seems appropriate (and fun!) to celebrate France’s Bastille Day here at L’Apero les Trois with a special festival-style grillade and a celebratory drink, à la français.
6:00 – 7:00 PM French-style grillade – a barbecue of lamb chops, Fatted Calf chipolatas pork sausages served with tomato, cucumber, and bell pepper salad, baguette and optional mustards.
3 chops – $22.00
2 chops + 1 sausage $20.
3 sausages $ 19.00
Buy your tickets at laperolestrois.com (events page).
All day cocktail special: La Jacqueline, also known as JaJa, a popular southwestern France festival drink, perfect to celebrate Bastille Day. Ours is made with L’Apero les Trois Meyer Lemon Apéritif, Perrier, Berryessa Gap Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc and a dash of Grenadine. $8.00 No ticket required.

Join us for The Village Feast on October 16, 2022

By Deema Tamimi

The Village Feast celebrates the Sacramento-region Farm to Fork season, where we gather to enjoy and honor the bounty of our local farmers by meeting together for an afternoon of dining at communal tables, in the style of a Provençal Grand Aïoli.

In the last two years, due to the pandemic, we have held the event virtually. This year, we are delighted to return to enjoying The Village Feast in person!

Sunday, Oct 16th, 12:00pm to 3:00pm PST

We will be holding simultaneous events at Mulvaney’s B&L in Sacramento (1215 19th St, Sacramento), and Great Bear Vineyards (24800 Co Rd 101A, Davis) in Yolo County.

Get Your Tickets

What is a Grand Aïoli?

The Village Feast follows the tradition of one of the great, late-summer feasts of Provence, France, where vast amounts of pungent aïoli—the golden garlic-mayonnaise that is a symbol of Provençal cuisine—unites people and food for a gastronomic celebration. The Sacramento region and Provence share a rich agricultural bounty owing to our Mediterranean climates. All that is needed for a feast—olives and olive oil, vegetables, nuts, wines, lamb, and more—is cultivated from the soil of our region.

In the spirit of a Grand Aïoli, please bring your own table settings, plates, silverware, glasses, and napkins so you can enjoy this communal meal.

The menu

Aperitifs include olives, nuts, local wines, and fresh baguettes. The meal is served family-style, with passed platters of heirloom tomatoes drizzled with local olive oil. Steamed and grilled local vegetables, hard-boiled eggs, and bowls of garlic-scented aïoli follow the tomatoes. Next comes the grilled lamb and summer white bean salad. The bottles empty, the bread is eaten, and dessert is served—fruit tart, or as the French say, a galette.

The Silent Auction

Bid on dozens of fabulous items donated by chefs, restaurants, wineries, and community members. Prepare to bid on items by downloading and registering the auction application Auctria to your smartphone.

Who benefits from this Fundraiser?

Les Dames d’Escoffier Sacramento Chapter and Davis Farm to School are working together to support education programs around food and agriculture. Davis Farm to School provides garden grants, farm field trips and support for farm-fresh food in the schools. The Dames provide funds for women with children in the Saint John’s Program for Real Change (a residential shelter with a culinary training program), as well as scholarships to women in food, wine, agriculture, and hospitality. All proceeds from The Village Feast go toward these missions.

Early Bird Pricing is $150 (single seats) and $1200 (table-seats 8).

Early Bird Pricing ends August 31. Ticket prices after this date will change as follows:

$165 (single seats), $1320 (table- seats 8).
