LDEI Sacramento Philanthropy | 2025-2026 Grant Recipients
Through our philanthropic programs, LDEI Sacramento remains deeply committed to cultivating the next generation of diverse women leaders while strengthening the Sacramento region’s vibrant and resilient food community.
Through the California Farm Academy, this organization trains aspiring farmers—many from non-farming backgrounds—to build careers in agriculture. This grant will fund scholarships for women, reducing financial barriers and opening pathways into farming and food production.
Alchemist Kitchen supports low-income and under-resourced food entrepreneurs by providing business training, technical assistance, and access to commercial kitchen space. This funding will directly help women entrepreneurs overcome critical startup barriers—such as equipment and permitting—so they can launch and grow sustainable businesses.
Serving more than 34,000 visitors annually, Soil Born Farms connects the community to food through hands-on education. This grant will support their Teen Empowerment & Job Training Program, helping sustain wages and expand opportunities for young women exploring culinary and agricultural careers.
Supporting families with children receiving medical care, RMHCNC provides meals, housing, and community. This grant will expand their Nourishing Families Initiative—funding fresh ingredients and supporting volunteer meal programs that also create hands-on learning opportunities for women in nutrition and hospitality.
